For the short term treatment of constipation, these pods can be steeped in water and the tea used as a drinkable laxative.
It works, so use common sense caution: use infrequently and obviously only when needed. Overuse can lead to diarrhea and intense cramping. If you are blending a tea formulation try adding a bit of fennel, anise, or ginger into your blend - it may help reduce cramping and yet will still be effective. Obtaining relief using these pods generally takes up to 12 hours. Take before bedtime is most commonly recommended.
A mild way of using this product: Steep for 10 to 12 hours in cold water. Strain and heat or drink cold. The cold infusion process is said to help with cramping. Since we are not medical doctors,, we cannot give a prescribed dose for this tea, I would recommend googling what other find useful for a dosage.
