This is, indeed, the root of the common dandelion flower. Though you may not want them in your yard, the dandelion has proven to be a wonderful healing plant both internally and externally. It contains viamins, A, C, and D, iron, magnesium, zinc, potassium, copper, and calcium. Herbalists use this powder to make a poultice to treat external skin abscesses and sores. You can use this powder directly in your soap recipes, it will color your soap a brown-ish tone and pass all the skin benefits of this flower.

We use a cold process infusion, we never heat treat our oils.  We infuse organic plant material into a first pressed, organic extra virgin olive oil. Because of the type of oil we infuse into, there is the typical (strong) scent that is associated with cold pressed olive oil - so please take that into consideration when ordering this product.
