Meet our new vitamin E - its just as wonderful as our old version in performance, but now its verified non-GMO!
This naturally derived isolate comes from non-GMO soybeans extracted into a non-GMO sunflower oil which acts as the carrier. This guarantees that its also gluten free. This form of vitamin E is super thick and holds its natural, amber color and typical scent.
Our vitamin E-T 50 contains 526mg/g of tocopherols. The breakdown is as follows:
57mg/g D-Alpha Tocopherol
11mg/g Beta Tocopherol
313mg/g Gamma Tocopherol
146mg/g Delta Tocopherol
This grade of Vitamin E is generally used as a food supplement, or used within a cosmetic formulation, as a natural preservative. It is added to the oil phase of your recipe to help extend the shelf life of your finished product. Please be aware that since vitamin E is oil soluble, it will not preserve the water phase of a formulation, which is the part of a recipe that holds the shortest shelf life, thus you will need a water soluble preservative as well. If your formulation is entirely made of oils and butters, this will be the only antioxidant you need, unless you would like to combine it with rosemary seed extract which will also help to increase the shelf life of your oils.
Specifications: Food grade (USP), kosher, GRAS approved, and it does not contain allergens according to regulation (EU) N1169/2011 so it is not required to be labelled as a potential allergen.
