Also known as carrageen. This wildharvested, dried and pulverized seaweed, moss is used in the food industry as a thickening agent for jellies, puddings, and soups, and is a traditional herbal remedy for coughs, ulcers and indigestion. For the cosmetic field, many aloe vera juices are suspended in this product to make an all natural aloe vera gel, and it can be used in the same manner to thicken any liquid product that needs a slight emulsifier.

This item is food grade quality and can be taken by mouth when added to capsules. However, since it is a seaweed product, it does smell and taste of the ocean. Depending upon the amount you use in your product this scent may be passed into it and need to be masked.

There appears to be no precautions for using this moss internally.
