Use this natural powder in body care products to improve the absorption ability of your item, such as in dusting powders. It can also be used as a thickening agent, but it does need to be heated, whereas guar gum does not.

Cornstarch is known to impart a "cooling" feeling to your product (because it draws moisture away from your skin), as well as provides a smooth texture. The insides of bottles are often coated with this product to prevent the sticking of bottle contents.

Try this "cooling" recipe!

• 1/4 cup cornstarch
• 1/4 cup arrowroot powder
• 1 Tbsp. kaolin clay
• 6 drops essential oil of your choice

DIRECTIONS:

Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl, then add the essential oil in - drop by drop, stir well! Pour into powder sifters and use as needed.
